Get Rid Of Shampoo Buildup

Get Rid of Shampoo Buildup

Washing your hair frequently or daily can leave behind shampoo residue. This is especially true if the shampoo uses cheap ingredients. These lower-quality ingredients leave a film on the hair and scalp. In time this film builds on your hair and scalp from the residue drying and hardening. Shampoo buildup may also interfere with styling your hair and keeping it soft and healthy-looking. But there are ways to remove shampoo buildup easily.

Instructions

1. Rinse hair thoroughly when shampooing. Use warm water and rinse for at least five minutes. Make certain all traces of the shampoo are gone.

2. Apply apple cider vinegar. Pour one cup of apple cider vinegar into a container or jar. Rinse the vinegar through hair as the final step after shampooing and rinsing the hair, as suggested by the Hair Finder website. Don't rinse out the vinegar. This is a home remedy for shampoo buildup.

3. Buy a clarifying shampoo. Visit a drug store to find a shampoo called clarifying, purifying or anti-residue shampoo. Wash hair once a week with the clarifying shampoo. Rinse out completely with warm water. These clarifying shampoos are made to remove all traces and residue of hair care products.
