Adjust A Grohe Shower

Grohe shower faucets allow users to set the temperature to the perfect setting by adjusting a dial inside the faucet. This dial is fairly advanced so adjusting the temperature on your Grohe shower is not very difficult. It will involve disassembling the faucet, though, in order to reach the dial. So, you should have some basic handyman skills if you want to complete this task successfully.

Instructions

1. Take the handle off the Grohe shower. Remove the small screw at the bottom of the shower handle with an Allen wrench and slide the handle off the faucet.

2. Remove each one of the trim plate screws on either side of the trim plate and pull the plate off the wall. Remove the back plate, the bracket under the trim plate if necessary.

3. Take the cylindrical sleeve off the front of the faucet and remove the limit stop, the round notched part, and adapter on the end of the stem. Reposition the adapter so the pin on the top of it is lined up with the arrow on the front of the cartridge, and push it onto the cartridge stem.

4. Rotate the adapter to turn on the water and use it to set the water temperature to where you want it to be. Make note of the number with which the pin is lined up on the dial on the front of the cartridge.

5. Turn the adapter back to turn off the water, and take the adapter off. Place the limit stop on the cartridge with the notch set to the number on the dial you noted in the previous step. Assemble the faucet by putting the adapter, sleeve, trim and handle back in place.
