Plantations Make For Beautiful Weddings

Belle Meade Plantation
Located in Nashville, Tennessee, Belle Meade Plantation is a 30-acre historic site. Home to an 1853 mansion, garden area, carriage house, stables and a winery, Belle Meade is a beautiful site for a Tennessee wedding and/or reception to be held.
With reception-only and wedding/reception packages ranging from $2,500 to $6,000, all packages include indoor or outdoor space for up to 300 people (up to 500 for an additional charge). Caterers, alcohol vendors and entertainment must be provided by the venue renter.

Historic Carnton Plantation Battlefield
Opened in 1826 and visited by numerous political leaders and socialites over two centuries, Historic Carnton Plantation Battlefield is not only a gorgeous site for a wedding, but a site rich with history that you and your guests will never forget.
There are four wedding and reception options available. Packages range from $1,000 to $3,000 depending on day of the week and how much access you'd like to the plantation. Weddings occur either in the garden or on a Greek Revival porch, and receptions take place either outdoors or within the Fleming Center building. Guest capacity tops out at 500 people, and venue renters must provide their own caterer and other vendors. For an additional $350, the staff will allow guests to roam the McGavick family home between the ceremony and reception.

Chattanooga Riverboat Co.
A uniquely charming idea for a Tennessee wedding and reception is an evening cruise along the Southern Belle with the Chattanooga Riverboat Co. This company provides a private Riverboat Wedding for Two performed by the riverboat chaplain, as well as extravaganzas of up to 150 people.
While the Chattanooga Riverboat Co. allows you to design your own wedding package, they do offer four separate packages from $1,895 to $6,500 (plus gratuity and sales tax) that include a dance floor, decorations, meals and beverages to varying degrees, with the possibilities of cake, entertainment, snacks, extra decor and other amenities. They also have an in-house wedding coordinator available for all questions.

Knoxville Museum of Art
For the bride looking to do a beautiful Tennessee wedding and reception with a modern twist, the Knoxville Museum of Art is available to rent for special occasions. This 53,200-square-foot facility offers its Great Hall for private functions.
A set price of $3,000 includes three hours of use, with additional hours available at $350 each. A ceremony without reception in the garden is $750 for two hours. Capacity is 300 people or 220 for a seated meal. Caterers and vendors must be provided by the venue renter and approved by museum staff.
