Hookup of old siegler oil stove

Hookup of Old Siegler Oil Stove

Hi I have an old Siegler Oil Stove Model 1012un. I was thinking of hooking this up to heat part of my garage but have no idea on how this is done. Does anybody have a manual or any updates on how I can hook it up? I also need an oil tank but cannot find any information on the net. Someone told me that you can add a small oil tank above it so the oil will be gravity fed. I am hoping that I will not need to purchase one of those big tanks and install high in the air? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Do a Google using the term vaporizing pot burner for some information. You will need to burn number 1 fuel oil or kerosene or if you can get it, waste jet fuel. Do not try to use number 2 oil oil as it will be difficult to light and also burn poorly making smoke and soot. Yes, you need an elevated tank. The bottom of the tank should be at least six inches above the maximum level on the side of the constant level oil control to ensure proper fuel flow. You need a barometric damper on the smoke pipe. When lighting, drop a lighted paper match in the pot and then turn on the oil. If you turn on the oil first you will have trouble lighting. Don't use wooden matches.
