Bilco door

bilco door

Looks like I'm gonna have to take a crack at installing a Bilco Door. Has anyone else out there done this before? I need info from busting the hole in the basement wall to building the walls where the steps will go. mucho appreciato. I did this type of job on my basement 2 months ago.... Ordered a prefab stair unit from Bilco.com (comes with Bilco steel doors).. Cost for that was $1600, plus $150 to dig hole, and $150 for inside steel door.. Rented a concrete saw from home depot for $60.. You have to make 4 cuts, 2 on each side... This is a VERY dirty job!!! Ended up coming out beautiful!!!! Best $2000 I ever spent~!! Let me know if there are any specific questions I can answer for you... Thanx and good luck!!!
