Square d 9013

square d 9013

switch kicking pump off at 50 psi but not turning back on, will maually kick on if i push spring down, checked tank pressure at 25 psi, any ideas ? deleater: It will likely be that the mechanism is worn out or it is way out of adjustment. Have you fiddled with it? If you give me the complete model number I might have some info on the one you have. of course i fiddled i am an idiot. there are 2 bolds with springs one tall on short, i assumed these were adlustments so i tightened and loosened each trying to figure out the adjustment but i could get the preesure extremely high but never get it to kick back on automatically i now have it back to kick off at 50 psi but it goes all the way to zero and never comes back on unless i manually push down on kick plate manually i believe ot to be square d fsg of course i fiddled i am an idiot. there are 2 bolds with springs one tall on short, i assumed these were adlustments so i tightened and loosened each trying to figure out the adjustment but i could get the preesure extremely high but never get it to kick back on automatically i now have it back to kick off at 50 psi but it goes all the way to zero and never comes back on unless i manually push down on kick plate manually i believe ot to be square d fsg deleater: If you have a number after fsg it will tell me the range of the control you have. You are likely going to have to play with it. If you can't figure it out I would just replace it and leave the new one set at the factory settings. fsg2- hope this will help Here is some info on SquareD. I took a look and I happen to have the same switch on a spare pump I have. Kind of a long shot but........................ The longer screw has about 1/2 of thread sticking out past the top of the nut and the shorter screw has about 1/8 sticking out past the nut. Set the nuts at about these positions and see what happens. Be carefull and monitor the pressure in case it goes too high. The taller of the two adjustments will adjust both cutin and cutout pressures. The shorter will adjust cutout only. If you want to raise pressure turn the nut clockwise, ccw for lowering pressure. Adjust the taller one only. If you adjust the shorter one, it will mess up the 20 psi differential (20/40, 30/50, etc). I suspect that the nipple and/or tubing fittings on your switch are plugged up. Ron I found these posts helpful in adjusting my pressure switch, but in my case I keep my pump gauge at 25 psi and my well-x pressure tank at 35, so if anyone has this particular cut/on and is having trouble getting the switch properly adjusted, try adjusting the large nut screw to 6/8ths of an inch above the nut, and the smaller one to 5/8ths of an inch above the nut. This setting has worked perfectly for me.
