Do Breathing Resistance Exercises

Breathing exercises have several health benefits.

Breathing exercises are practiced around the world for good health and wellness. According to Health Line, breathing exercises can train the muscles of the respiratory system and improve overall health, especially after reaching age 30 or older. There are products available that help in breathing resistance exercises, but there are exercises available that do not require using any equipment.

Instructions

1. Sit in a comfortable position with the back straight and good posture. Always use good posture when doing breathing exercises to have the best effect and remain comfortable throughout the exercise.

2. Breathe in through the nose, keeping the mouth closed to create resistance. Breathe in slowly and fill the lungs until they cannot hold more air. Slowly release the air. Take another breath after a few seconds' pause to prevent getting dizzy.

3. Breathe into the belly rather than the chest. When taking a deep breath, always breath with the diaphragm. This is a technique used in singing to improve lung capacity, and it is good for health to breath this way. During the intake of breath, allow the stomach to expand and keep the shoulders relaxed and down.
