Practice Golden Light Breathing

Golden light breathing increases the energies in your body.

The process of preparing yourself before you practice meditation or more esoteric arts is as important as the exercise itself. If you are tired or stressed you will not achieve the results you desire. In this instance, you may want to try the Golden light breathing meditation. Golden light breathing meditation is sometimes called the The Secret of Golden Flower and as such is an energetic breathing exercise that concentrates on simple meditation, mental cleansing and physical empowerment.

Instructions

1. Prepare your space. Use a traditional meditation space or any location you are comfortable with. Reduce noise and excessive light.

2. Stand with your feet hip width apart. Sense your body as your feet make contact with the ground. Visualize your feet taking root in the ground to stabilize your body. Rest your hands on your stomach as you take several deep breaths, inhale from your diaphragm.

3. Begin to breathe. Place your hands just below the sternum. Slowly breathe, placing all concentration on the rhythm of each breath.

4. Breathe in through your nose as you visualize images of yourself drawing golden light into your body. Imagine a sun rising over your head as your body fills with golden light. Hold your breathe briefly, but do not strain.

5. Imagine your heart opening, as it fills with golden light. Breathe out through your mouth and visualize the light circulating throughout your body.

6. Continue breathing in this way until you feel energized and wide awake. Then rest your hands on your heart for a few moments. Allow your breath to gradually return to normal.

7. Start a routine. Add golden light breathing to your meditation or exercise routine. Incorporate the breathing exercise into the middle of your work week, to defeat bouts with low personal energy.
