Steroid ointments come in seven different classifications of strength. They are super-potent, potent, upper mid-strength, mid-strength, lower mid-strength, mild and least potent.
Super
Some examples of super-potent ointments are Clobex, Diprolene, Psorcon and Psorcon E.
Potent
Some examples of potent steroid ointments are Florone, Lidex and Halog.
Upper Mid
The upper mid-strength ointments include Luxig, Lidex E, Topicort LP and Cutivate.
Mid
The mid-strength steroid ointments include Elecon, Kenalog, Cordran, Synalar and Westcort.
Others
Some example of lower-mid, mild and least potent include Pandel, DermaTop, Aclovate, Desonate, Cortaid and Hytone.
