Clean Kenmore Grills

Kenmore gas grills are a staple for cookouts, family reunions, or just a quick meal. Grills cook meat quickly. The fat and grease that comes off of the food stays on the grill grates, knobs and covers. Keeping your grill clean will give your food good flavor and extend the grill's lifespan. Cleaning your grill only requires a few household-cleaning products.

Instructions

1. Wash the grill grates with regular soap and warm water. Use a brass-bristled brush to get the gristle and grease off of the grates.

2. Remove the grease pan from the grease trap and wash it with soap and warm water. Use a brass-bristled brush to get the hardened gristle and grease off of the grates.

3. Turn the burners to the Off position and then turn the propane tank to the Off position by turning the tank handle clockwise. Disconnect the propane regulator from the tank.

4. Remove the grates, the warming rack and the burners from your grill. These should be able to be lifted out of the unit.

5. Wash the grill grates with regular soap and warm water. Use a brass-bristled brush to get the gristle and grease off of the grates.

6. Remove the grease pan from the grease trap and wash it with soap and warm water. Use a brass-bristled brush to get the hardened gristle and grease off of the pan.

7. Cover the gas orifices on the burners with aluminum foil. Brush the inside and then bottom of the grill with a nylon brush, soap and water.

8. Allow the grill to dry, then remove the aluminum foil from the gas orifices. Replace the burners, grates and the warming rack. Hook the propane tank back up to the grill.
