Herbs That Prevent Bone Cancer

Cancer affects millions of people around the world. Bone cancer is one disease among several cancers. Recently, a trend has been to take herbs and supplements, such as green tea extract. Because it's a new trend, scientists are still conducting research to determine whether herbs and supplements help prevent bone cancer. Most herbs can be found at health food stores and ethnic food shops.

Turmeric

This herb contains a therapeutic compound known as curcumin, which has been studied and shown to fight cancer and prevent cancerous tumors. Turmeric features properties that stimulate the immune system, thereby making it more likely to stave off diseases and illness.

Green Tea Extract

Green tea extract, which comes from the leaves of the tea plant, features ECGC, a chemical that offsets free radicals that cause cell damage. This extract also limits cell replication, including cancerous cells, which thrive on replication in spreading throughout the body.

Maitake Extract

Maitake extract, which comes from the Chinese maitake mushroom, helps destroy cancer cells and prevents the development and spreading of tumors. It boosts the immune system, which limits the body against illness and disease.

Red Clover

The red clover is a three-leafed herb, the flowers for which feature anti-tumor compounds. The red clover has tocopherol, an antioxidant known to prevent and destroy cell-destroying free radicals.

Ginseng

Ginseng, while not proved to prevent cancer, has been found in some studies to hinder the formation of cancerous cells and tumors. This research has been successful in animals but not in humans.
