Chinese Herbs Information

Chinese herbs have been used to treat various ailments for thousands of years.

The Chinese have been using herbs medicinally for over 2,000 years. Traditionally, herbs were made into a long-brewing, bad-tasting tea or sticky honey-bound pills. Today, modern advances have made most available in easy-to-swallow capsules. China is home to many hospitals which specialize in herbal training for doctors.

Astragalus

Astragalus is the most commonly used herb in Chinese medicine, as it is a treatment for AIDS, colitis, senility and hepatitis. The herb is also thought to regulate white blood cells in cancer patients and bolster the immune system.

Ginger

Ginger is often used to treat stomach ailments, as it aids with digestion and calms nausea and morning sickness. It is now well-known as a cooking spice. It can be consumed in teas, but it is also available as a capsule.
