Natural Homeopathic Ways To Fight Liver Cancer With Herbs

Mangosteen may help fight liver cancer.

Liver cancer may be dealt with using a variety of conventional treatments. These typically include surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Several natural, homeopathic remedies also exist to combat liver cancer, including a number of herbal solutions. These include the Chinese herb Bie Jia, extracts of the Southeast Asian fruit mangosteen and an increase in the intake of omega-3 fatty acids.

Bie Jia

Bie Jia, or Chinese soft turtle shell, has been used for centuries as a traditional remedy to treat cancer. According to Chinese herbalists, Bie Jia nourishes a cancer patient's yin while anchoring his yang---all the while invigorating the blood and strengthening the individual's immune system. The herb is used particularly when it comes to liver cancer. Bie Jia is additionally used to treat malaria, chest pain, liver and spleen swelling and hot flashes.

Mangosteen

Though laboratory work on human subjects has yet to be conclusively performed, mangosteen is said to be a natural liver cancer combatant. The fruit, native to Thailand and Burma, contains compounds that fight fungi, bacteria and, most importantly, tumors. So far, lab results indicate that mangosteen acts against cancer cells, in particular leukemia cells, breast cancer cells and liver cancer cells. The fruit also has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antihistamine properties.

Omega-3 Fatty Acids

Omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to inhibit all kinds of cancer, including liver cancer. Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation throughout the body. They are generally known not only for their cancer-inhibiting abilities but also for their cancer-preventive qualities. One of the best sources of omega-3 fatty acids is flaxseed oil. Other sources include walnuts, salmon, soybeans, halibut, shrimp, tofu, snapper, scallops and winter squash.
