Treat A Gum Infection

Gum infection is a common affliction among people and a main cause of tooth loss. It causes discomfort and manifests itself in gums that are swollen, bright red and bleed easily. These infections can be traced to bacteria and viruses in the gums and teeth. There are some things you can do yourself to treat the early stages of gum disease.

Instructions

1. Try applying a layer of aloe vera all over the infected gums twice daily to treat the infection.

2. Prepare a mouth rinse and use two to three times daily. Use one the following ingredients with water to make your rinse(s): salt, boiled salvia, cinnamon, chamomile and salvia, lemon juice, diced and boiled pomegranate peel and boiled carnations. Try each of the rinses, monitor the results and continue with the rinse that is most effective for you.

3. Eat fresh apples daily. They are effective in cleaning and strengthening the gums.

4. Seek the care of a dentist if the infection gets worse or continues without improvement. The dentist may treat you with an aggressive cleaning in minor cases, and antibiotics and surgery in major cases.
