Cure Fear Of Flying

Fear of flying is based around anxiety, much like any anxiety involving trying something new or being in a different and unfamiliar situation. There are many recommended ways to actually cure the fear of flying. Here are some of the most common ones that you can do before your next flight to help get you through the flight and help you adapt yourself to enjoying rather than dreading flying.

Instructions

1. Travel by night. Your senses will have less to cope with, the atmosphere aboard the plane will be more relaxed, and there will be less tension from everyone on board.

2. Confront your fear. There is nothing you can do about the situation, your presence on the plane does not affect any of the controls, so just confront the fact that there is nothing you can do and try to enjoy the ride. Remind yourself that you have faced things that frightened you before and have come through them in better shape than ever. Repeat calmly to yourself that this time and this fear will be no different from any other.

3. Consider medical treatment for anxiety. Prescribed medication that can be taken at flight time will calm and soothe your mind enough to put it at ease, allowing you to enjoy flying more, and quite possibly over the long run, convince yourself that the only thing to fear about flying is the fear of flying itself.
