Release Negative Emotions

Negative emotions affect us on a daily basis. Life can be hard at times and those negative emotions can creep inside without your even knowing. The key is replacing this negativity with positive thoughts and finding an activity that will bring peace and tranquility.

Instructions

1. Inhale through your nose and exhale from your mouth. With each exhale release any negative thoughts you may be experiencing. Repeat this step until the negativity you were experiencing is gone.

2. Practice yoga. Local gyms and fitness centers offer classes ranging from beginner's class to the more advanced level. Yoga strengthens the body and mind and will help release negative thoughts.

3. Walk on the beach. Search for shells and sand dollars. Breathe the air around you, listen to the waves crashing in on the shore. Focus on the sounds and smells surrounding you.

4. Drive down an old country road to look for farmhouses, paying attention to your surroundings and how different the environment is from your own. Bring your camera along to capture the beauty around you. Place these pictures around as a reminder.

5. Fish from an old stream, pond or lake. Concentrate on the quiet around you, the peacefulness of the running water, the gracefulness of a fish jumping. Let your feet dangle in the water and think about how the coolness feels on your skin.

6. Watch a comedy. Gather some friends and snack on a bowl of popcorn and share a few good laughs. Smile, have a good time and concentrate on the moment and the happiness around you.
