A line chart is a type of graph that is a visual representation of the changes in data using an X axis and a Y axis. For example, a line graph could show a company's stock price over five years. You can create a line graph using the Microsoft Excel 2007 spreadsheet application. First, create a chart for your data in the spreadsheet of the application. Next, insert the style of line chart you want into the spreadsheet when your data chart is highlighted. You can then edit the line graph to meet your preferences using the Chart Tools feature that becomes available after you insert the new chart.
