Do Reflexology

A relaxing atmosphere can enhance a reflexology session.

Reflexology is a healing technique that involves applying pressure to the hands or feet. It is thought that certain points on the hands and feet correlate to bodily organs. The applied pressure activates the body’s “flight or flight” response. Read on to learn do reflexology.

Instructions

1. Study a hand and foot reflexology chart and become familiar with the points. The left hand or foot reflects the left side of the body, and the right hand or foot reflects the right side of the body.

2. Apply pressure to the insides of the feet and hands to activate the spine reflex.

3. Apply pressure to the outsides of the feet and hands to activate the arm and shoulder reflexes.

4. Apply pressure to the toes and fingers to activate the head and neck reflexes.

5. Apply pressure to the balls of the feet to activate the chest, upper back, heart and lungs reflexes.

6. If there is extra time left in the session, focus more time on the trouble areas. Ask yourself or the person you are doing the treatment on if there has been any pain or trouble with certain parts of the body.
