What Are The Symptoms Of An Oral Std

It is common to spread sexually transmitted diseases through kissing and oral sex. These oral STDs are ordinarily harmless and easy to treat. However, symptoms of these conditions can be painful and embarrassing.

Herpes

Herpes can cause painful, open blisters on the genitals. In cases where oral sex occurs, these sores can spread to the mouth.

Bacerial Infections

After performing oral sex, some people may experience soreness of the throat. This can be accompanied by pustules on the tonsils, much like tonsillitis.

Syphilis

Syphilis causes the appearance of small red bumps inside the mouth and on the gums and tongue. These bumps are normally painless.

Neisseria Gonorrhea

This disease causes several burning ulcers in the membranes of the mouth and accompany a sore throat.

Non-Gonococcal Urethritis

This is a condition that effects men and is spread through oral sex. Bacteria from a sex partner's mouth, caused by other infections like chlamydia, spreads this condition.

Genital Warts

Genital warts can spread to a person's mouth if contact is made with an infected person through oral sex. The symptoms of this would obviously be wart-like bumps in the mouth or on the lips.
