How Is Hpv Transmitted In Men

Causes

Human papillomavirus, or HPV, is only transmitted through genital contact or vaginal or anal intercourse. HPV is a very common sexually transmitted disease, and most people will contract the disease without knowing it.

Symptoms

There are few visible signs or symptoms that you or your partner might have HPV. There is also no test for men to see if they have contracted HPV. There are more than 40 types of HPV, and most are undetectable and go away on their own. The only way to know that you have HPV is to contract genital warts or penile or anal cancer from one of the strains of HPV.

Solutions

Using a condom during sex is the easiest way to decrease your chances of contracting HPV. The only way to be sure not to contract HPV is to not have sex. But even if you have had sex with one person, she could have been infected with HPV and unknowingly have given HPV to you. There is no method of preventing HPV that is 100 percent effective. If you think you have HPV, go to a doctor and have him check out any abnormalities on your penis.
