Energy crystals are naturally formed crystals that contain energetic vibrations. Crystals transmit different types of energy that have healing, calming, energizing and numerous other effects on the human body. Debris, dirt, grime and smudges create a negative barrier around energy crystals and interfere with their healing powers. For a crystal to be effective and emit maximum energy, it must be cleaned properly and cared for in a way that promotes positive energy. As well, when a crystal has lost energy it may require a cleaning or shining to reinvigorate the crystal.
Instructions
1. Hold the crystal directly under warm running water for at least one minute to loosen and soften dirt, mud or debris. This will remove excess earth particles from the crystal.
2. Fill a small bowl or container with warm salt water. Add 1 tsp. of salt for every cup of water in the container.
3. Place the crystal into the bowl ensuring it is fully submerged into the water. Leave the crystal resting in the salt water for 24 hours in a location where it can receive sunlight and moonlight.
4. Remove the crystal from the water and gently brush with a soft bristled toothbrush if any dirt remains on the crystal after soaking.
5. Rinse the crystal under running water to remove any salt residue. Rub the crystal lightly while under running water to shine the crystal.
6. Place the crystal into a location where it can be dried by the sun. Allow the sunlight to dry the crystal to add additional shine and positive energy.
