Crestor, also known as rosuvastatin, is a statin, part of a group of drugs used to lower cholesterol. It also can slow the buildup of plaque in the arteries. AstraZeneca, the maker of Crestor, acknowledges that side effects of the drug include headache, muscle aches, abdominal pain, weakness and nausea. Users, however, have reported suffering from various sexual problems as a result of the drug.

Erectile Dysfunction
Male Crestor users have reported having problems maintaining or getting erections while on the drug.
Testicular Pain
Users of statins such as Crestor have experienced testicular pain. This is typically accompany by other general body pains, including in the neck, abdomen and pelvic areas.
Impotence
While there have been few to no direct links between Crestor and impotence, researchers are split on whether statins can cause or actually fight impotence.
Warning
Crestor has been linked to even more serious side effects, including kidney damage, organ failure, muscle toxicity and death. AstraZeneca recommends people with liver problems and pregnant women not take the medication. In addition, the Food and Drug Administration recommends that Asian patients in particular take lower dosages of Crestor, and that users report to their doctors immediately if they have muscle pain and weakness, dark urine, nausea or vomiting, as these symptoms could point to serious problems.
