Marketing Ideas For Chiropractors

Skeleton

A successful chiropractic practice has a steady stream of clients and offers complementary services to increase profits. Chiropractors should strive to maintain a mix of regular patients, new patients and clients for extra services. Since most patients use chiropractic care for a set period of time to overcome a specific ailment, a marketing strategy is essential to keep patient levels high and down time low.

Referrals

Positive referrals from exiting or former patients are an effective advertising tool. In addition to providing outstanding care, offer patients an incentive to refer their acquaintances. Provide a gift certificate or a free service in your office for every referral. For example, if you offer therapeutic massage, offer a free 15-minute massage for every referral.

Complementary Services

Keep customers coming back to your office for services beyond normal checkups through complementary services. Offer therapeutic massages, vitamins and supplements and even physical therapy. Create a holistic approach to care that increases your bottom line and can increase the level of care you can provide for your patients.

Volunteer Services

Volunteer your services for charity. For example, you could work with Special Olympics. Participation in charity increases your community visibility and generates word-of-mouth advertising in addition to good will.

Website

Create a website for your practice that is information driven. Provide articles on chiropractic care, conditions that you routinely treat and other articles that will drive traffic to your website. Your website should be a credible source of information for your patients and potential clients. In addition to information, you should make your website personable. Include information about your hobbies and a picture that shows you in a friendly light. If people can relate to you, they are more likely to try your services.

Newsletter

Send out a routine e-mail newsletter to clients and anyone who signs up on your website. Showing you want to educate your clients in addition to providing services makes your patients feel like they are being treated as a whole person rather than an ailment.

Insurance

Since many clients rely on insurance to help pay for chiropractic care, make sure you participate with as many insurance plans as feasible. Your availability will increase your potential client base. Insurance acceptance also helps retain customers who change insurance companies.

Sports Organizations

Try to become an official provider for local sports groups. Your duties will normally cover actual sports time, but you can gain participants as regular clients when they want to improve their performance or overcome an injury. Your patient roster may increase through fans, support staff and acquaintances of the athletes.
