Lime Liver Detox

You can flush acidic waste and minimize metals and break down other indigestible material accumulated in the liver throughout the years with a liver detox. The body is designed to detoxify and clean itself but because of today's fast, high-in-preservative foods there is a lot of strain on the organs to keep up the cleaning and still be able to function properly. A homemade detox using lime is inexpensive and easy to make and will rejuvenate your liver.

Lime Benefits

Limes are a sour citrus fruit that is technically considered a berry. Among their many uses, the lime's health benefits are striking. Limes contain vitamin C and a flavonoid called limonin glucoside. Limes are full of antioxidants, detoxifiers, anticarcinogens, and antibiotics. The consumption of limes cleanses bacteria and toxins from the body and aids in digestion, making them a key ingredient for liver detoxes.

Lime and Egg Detox

Wait three hours after you have eaten or drunk anything. Gather three organic limes, two organic eggs left at room temperature, and cold-pressed sunflower oil. Roll the limes on a table a few times to soften them. Juice them into a non-metal cup. Crack open the eggs and place only the yolk in the cup with the lime juice. Discard the whites and shells. Pour a tablespoon of sunflower oil into the cup. Do not use a metal measuring spoon because the metal will react with and change the composition of the ingredients. Mix the ingredients together a few times and drink. Take a nap for four hours. Upon waking up you will feel refreshed and energized. It is recommended that you use an enema, which can be found at any grocery or drugstore, to flush out remaining toxins and the ingredients you just consumed. Repeat the process every day for a week. Drink about ten cups of water a day to keep your body hydrated during the detoxification process.
