Use Essential Oils To Strengthen The Respiratory System

Eucalyptus oil has been used for centuries for medicinal and therapeutic purposes, especially in the treatment of respiratory ailments. It is an expectorant and decongestant, and is also considered as an antiseptic. Here are a few ways to use this oil to help your respiratory system.

Instructions

Use Eucalyptus Oil to Benefit the Respiratory System

1. Draw a bath of medium hot water and add 10 to15 drops of eucalyptus oil. Mix it into the water. Soak in the bath while deeply inhaling the steam and the oil's aroma.

2. Fill a bowl with hot water and add 5 drops of eucalyptus oil. Place your face over the bowl and hold a towel over your head to prevent the steam from escaping. Deeply inhale the steam and the oil's aroma.

3. Place 10 to 20 drops of oil in a diffuser and wait a few minutes for the scent to permeate the air. Relax and breath deeply.

4. Add 10 drops of oil to 1 tablespoon of massage oil. Have someone massage you with the oil mixture--or massage yourself--concentrating on tense muscles. Relax and breathe in the oil's aroma.
