History

Culinary Function


Turmeric is most distinctively connected to spicy Indian curries, though turmeric itself is not spicy. The powder is often used to flavor vegetable, popcorn, meat, rice, pasta, pickled, chutney and fish dishes. Turmeric added to almost any fish soup or stew is an instant flavor enhancer. Turmeric's pairing with seafood is a traditional usage in India. Aside from flavor and aroma, turmeric is one of the most heavily used natural food dyes available on the market. The yellow is used to dye butter, cheese, milk, pickles, mustard, liquor, fruit drinks, cake and jellies.


Medical Function


The use of turmeric for medical purposes has existed alongside its culinary function since its discovery. Holistic and herbal medicines are more commonly found in Asian cultures, though an increased interest and awareness has recently emerged in the western world. Turmeric is alleged to have an impact on increasing immune functions in the body, and is used around the world as a form of antibacterial paste. Theories/Speculation


In India, turmeric is widely used for ceremonial purposes. The turmeric ceremony known as gaye holud, is part of the series of wedding celebrations in a Bengali wedding. During the ceremony, turmeric paste is applied to the bride's face and hands giving her a golden yellow glow. The purpose of the ritual is to give the newlywed couple luck in marriage, as turmeric is considered antiseptic and healing.

Schooling To Become A Chiropractor

Chiropractors work on musculoskeletal systems.


Becoming a chiropractor requires several years of schooling that may be included in the last two years of a four-year college or two to four years of additional study if the student already has a baccalaureate degree. Prospective chiropractors be warned: if you do not like science, this occupation may not be for you. Chiropractic programs are studded with science courses in addition to health classes.


Basic Education Requirements


The Occupational Outlook Handbook, published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, offers a good overview of the chiropractic profession. Chiropractors work on the body's musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. The handbook notes that chiropractic students must put in a minimum 4,200 hours in the classroom, laboratories and with patients to earn their Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. Classroom and lab work is emphasized in the first two years, while students move on to hands-on experience and diagnosing ailments in the final years.


Science Courses Requirements


Before being admitted to a chiropractic program at one of the nation's 15 accredited programs, students must meet minimum requirements for science courses. Prerequisite courses for admission to the chiropractic program at University of Western States in Portland, Oregon, include biology; chemistry (including inorganic chemistry and organic biochemistry); physics; and biomechanics.


The university also requires students to take courses in sociology, English composition and psychology, with electives in such areas as sociology, literature or history.








Chiropractic Courses








Once admitted to a chiropractic program, students will take courses in anatomy, pathology, physiology, spinal manipulation, diagnosis of neuomusculoskeletal conditions, dermatology and soft tissue at University of Western States, which offers a typical course accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education. At Life University in Marietta, Georgia, they will also be taking courses in nutrition, public health, bacteriology, subluxation and radiology report writing. Because so many chiropractors are in private practice, Life University requires its students to take 25 credits of business management courses.


Job Outlook and Salary


The outlook for chiropractors is good, with demand for their services expected to increase by 20 percent from 2008 through 2018, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is because alternative health care is gaining in popularity in the United States.


Chiropractors earn a decent income, too. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median hourly wage for chiropractors was $32.53 or $67,650 annually as of May 2009. The bottom 10 percent of chiropractors earned $15.74 per hour while the top 10 percent earned an average of $72.39 per hour. Chiropractors in Tennessee were the highest paid, having a mean annual salary of $112.060.

Taking over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol, during your period can also help ease stomach pains. Taking it during your period, even before pain presents itself, can help prevent and alleviate any stomach pain during menstruation. As with any medication though, talk to your doctor if you choose to treat your pain with medication. You can also try medication such as Pepto Bismol if you suffer from indigestion during your period.


Warnings


Sometimes severe stomach pains during menstruation can be the sign of a deeper problem, such as endometriosis. If you have severe stomach pain that inhibits your daily life during menstruation you should see your doctor to ensure it is not a more serious condition.

What Are Veneers







Veneers are very thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to the front of teeth by dentists. They are also called porcelain laminates or dental veneers. The adder, the only indigenous poisonous snake found in England, Scotland and Wales, bites hundreds of people, dogs and other animals yearly.UK poisons centers are consulted on an average of 100 human and a dozen veterinary cases each year. About 70% of patients suffer no real problems except some pain, swelling and redness where bitten. Only 14 fatalities have been reported since 1876. Adder bites are common throughout mainland Britain and some islands off the west coast of Scotland. Bites start occurring in February and stop in October, peaking in June to August. Half the patients are bitten on the hand while picking up the adder. The pain starts within a few minutes after the bite, usually peaking within 30 minutes. Occasionally, tingling and local swelling occurs, with tenderness and inflammation following. These symptoms can be more serious in children, with extensive swelling and bruising up to 24 hours after the bite.


Instructions


1. Do first aid. Reassure the patient that he will be fine. Give paracetamol (Feverall in the United States) for pain and immobilize the patient. Transport the patient to a hospital immediately. In severe cases, use epinephrine (Epi-Pen) to avoid anaphylactic shock. Do not use tourniquets, ligatures or compression bandages.


2. Get hospital treatment. Clinical assessment will happen in a hospital. If any antivenom is needed, the decision will be made at this time. Hospital staff will carefully monitor blood pressure and watch for signs of worsening poisoning problems.


3. Check for hypotension with or without signs of shock. Swelling that is either extensive or rapidly spreading calls for two ampules of Zagreb antivenom by slow intravenous injection of infusion. If no clinical improvement has occurred after one hour, two more ampules of antivenom will be given.








4. Intravenous fluids or blood transfusion may be needed in extreme poisonings. If necessary, rehabilitation physiotherapy should be started as early as possible.


5. Recovery takes less than a week in children. Adults can take as long as three weeks to become symptom free.

2. Head to the back of the cave and you will find a summoner who will bring out Yojimbo.


3. Fight Yojimbo and defeat him. He has high resistance to physical damage so use offensive magic abilities and Aeons to defeat him.


4. Head deeper into the cave and talk to Yojimbo in the Chamber of Fayth. He will ask you a question and depending on your answer will request a price for his services.


5. Select the third option, "To defeat the most powerful of fiends", which will make Yojimbo ask for 250,000 gil.


6. Offer a few gil over half his original asking price and he will lower his price to about 205,000 gil. Accept this offer or go a little lower to get him into your party.

Exercises To Relieve Restless Leg Syndrome

Restless leg syndrome, also called RLS, is a non-life-threatening condition that causes a discomfort in the legs and a need to fidget or move around. This restlessness generally occurs when the sufferer is trying to go to sleep or relaxing. Although it is called restless "leg" syndrome, it can actually have an effect on the arms and feet as well. Other than restlessness, some of the symptoms that are associated with RLS include tingling sensations, burning, twitching and aching. There are various exercises that can be utilized to relieve the symptoms of RLS.








Aerobic Activity


One of the main causes of restless leg syndrome is stress. One way to combat this is aerobic activity, which can help release mood-enhancing endorphins that may keep the legs more relaxed. But the trick to this exercise, and all of the other exercises for that matter, is to perform them as close to bedtime as possible. Even though exercising in the afternoon will be somewhat effective, exercising right before falling asleep is even better. One of the easiest aerobic exercises to do is walking. Other forms of aerobic activity include running, biking, stair stepping, elliptical training, rope jumping and rowing.


Step-Ups


Many different exercises can be done to work the legs and put them more at ease. A lot of these can be done at home. One such example is a step-up exercise. This can be done with a chair, a stair step or even a milk crate. Simply step up on top of the object, then step back down. To involve the arms, you can hold two soup cans and lift them above your head as you step up.


Leg Lifts


Leg lifts can be done from a lying position on the floor or even on a bed. As an added benefit, this exercise also works the abdominal muscles. It is performed by lying on your back, placing your hands under your tailbone and lifting your legs up in the air and back down to the floor. These can also be performed in a scissor fashion by alternating lifting one leg, then the other.


Deep Knee Bends


Deep knee bends are similar to squats, except you bend a little bit farther. Start from a standing position. Extend the arms straight out in front of your body, then squat down really low until your hamstrings touch the top of your calves. Come back to a standing position, and repeat.


Extensions


Leg extensions are often done in the gym on a leg extension machine. They can also be done while sitting on the edge of a bed or a chair, however. From this seated position, extend the leg straight out until it is parallel to the floor, then lower it back to the starting position. To add some intensity to the exercise, wear ankle weights.

Exercises To Prevent Osteoporosis







Osteoporosis can be prevented by doing weight-bearing exercises, namely exercises that put impact on your bones and build your muscles. Some low-impact exercises like walking, though not necessarily power walking, or swimming will not help prevent osteoporosis. But they are beneficial for other reasons. A few days a week of weight-bearing exercise can go along way to reducing your chances of getting osteoporosis.


Cardio


Certain physical activities that raise your heart rate are considered cardio exercise. You should do cardio for 30 minutes daily, but make as much of this as possible weight-bearing exercise to prevent osteoporosis. Jogging, running, hiking and most sports that require standing and movement will count as weight-bearing exercise. Choose an activity that you enjoy and can do consistently for 30 minutes. Cardio machines like elliptical trainers and stair steppers are good too. Rotate your method of cardio every month, or cross-train during the week to stress different muscles and prevent adaptation.








Plyometrics


Plyometrics are high-intensity exercises that involve jumping. Plyometrics are good to do after a resistance training workout or between sets to raise your heart rate. Not everyone should try these, especially if they have knee or back problems, but most people can benefit greatly from plyometric exercises. Start with simple jumping jacks or box jumps if you are unsure how you will feel doing plyometrics. Do not continue if you feel pain in your joints. Most people are familiar with jumping jacks. You can start with as little as 10 jumping jacks and do two or three sets, or try 50 in a row if you are already active.


Box jumps are an exercise with which you may not be familiar. You will need a stable platform like an aerobic step with which to do box jumps. You can do jump ups whereby you stand in front of a step with your feet hip-width apart and then jump up onto the step. You would then step off the box and then jump back on. Or you can do jump downs whereby you step onto the box and then jump backwards onto the floor. Do two sets of 10 jumps. You can then combine the exercise and do box jumps up and down off the step.


Resistance Training


Resistance training or weight lifting is obviously a weight-bearing activity. Sign up for some sessions with a personal trainer if you are unfamiliar with the proper form of exercises. You can also ask for help at your gym in learning use the weight machines correctly, or you can try a resistance training group exercise class. It is important to do 2 to 3 days a week of resistance training to build strength and muscle, which will help prevent osteoporosis. Two days a week is more likely to help you maintain what you have than to gain more muscle tone. Even just doing some squats, pull ups, and push ups will be good for you.


Squats -- Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Put your hands on your hips. Bend your knees and stick your hips back. Lean forward about 10 degrees. Stand back up. Do three sets of 15 reps.


Push Ups -- Hold yourself on the floor face down on your knees or your toes with your hands directly below your shoulders. Squeeze your abs and keep your back flat. Lower your chest to an inch off the floor, allowing your elbows to bend and go out to the sides. Push yourself back up. Do three sets of 15 reps, or as many as you can do without breaking form.


Pull Ups -- Grab a pull up bar with your hands shoulder-width apart and your palms facing away from you. Pull yourself up until your chin is above the bar. Lower yourself back down. Do three sets of 15. If you cannot pull yourself above the bar, jump a little and hold yourself above the bar for 10 to 60 seconds to gain back strength. You can also search for a pull up assisting machine at a gym that will allow you to pull up only a portion of your weight.

Instructions


1. Begin by establishing a daily routine, or dinacharya. Vatas like change but if pursued to an extreme, can result in irregular eating and sleeping habits that can further result in indigestion, constipation and insomnia. Instead, plan to rise at approximately the same time every day, eat meals (or snacks) at the same time daily and, most importantly, consistently get the same amount of sleep every night.


2. Pace yourself mentally and physically throughout your day. This may seem simplistic but if you know Vatas, they can be whirling dervishes. As if to take advantage of their raw physical energy and mental speed, they may like to push through projects to completion as quickly as possible—only to find themselves depleted at the end.








3. Graze throughout the day. Many Vatas have a hard time keeping on weight. Naturally thin, Vatas may not be hungry at lunch or dinner time. Instead sip a cup of soup or juice or snack on fruit or nuts to keep your blood sugar level to avoid eating a less healthy option later. Eating half a tuna sandwich will help calm the nervous energy of a Vata, who is more likely to skip breakfast and lunch until at 3:00 p.m., and then notice she feels dizzy or lightheaded.


4. Stay away from caffeine. Vatas have enough nervous energy to power their cars. Drinking non-caffeinated drinks, such as hot herbal teas sweetened with honey, cardamon pods or hot water with lemon, is a better idea. Protein drinks without a lot of sugar can help. No espresso for the livewire Vata, please.


5. Counter your forgetfulness by writing things down. Quick to learn and quick to forget, memory is a challenge for Vatas. This highly intelligent group of people will not remember to buy milk at the store unless you write it down on a slip of paper and hand it to them. Text yourself reminders, calendar appointments in your phone and computer to help you remember these things.


6. Schedule regular light to moderate exercise. Skinny by nature, Vatas do not need to run 10 miles a day but walking 20 to 30 minutes daily and taking the stairs instead of the elevator can derail stress. Leisurely biking in a beautiful setting in nature is tailor-made for Vatas: slow, rhythmic movement that is not hurried or overly strenuous. Yoga and meditation also are beneficial as breathing techniques can be learned to slow the heart rate and blood pressure.


7. Establish supportive social networks. Vatas are like leaves that scatter with the wind, ruled as they are by movement. If they are balanced, they can be inquisitive, bright and engaging. Stressed or imbalanced (from overwork, sleep deprivation or irregular eating), Vatas can be self-critical and distrustful of others. Establish supportive friendships with people worthy of your loyalty.


8. Keep a notebook on your nightstand. Notorious night owls, Vatas can be wide awake at 2:00 a.m., thinking about what they are supposed to remember the next day or the next week. Keep a digital or hard copy calendar to record basic daily tasks, projects and appointments. Before going to sleep, record all the things you worry you might not remember in your notebook. Once completed, you are mentally freed up to sleep—a very important event for sleep-deprived Vatas. The next morning, your notebook is within easy reach to add more details and remind you of the day’s schedule.

2. Warm up first. Rub your hands together, circulating the blood. Make a fist and release. Now repeat. Rub your feet--top and bottom--with your hands. Again, you want to get the blood circulating.


3. Place the two balls in the palm of your right hand. Rub the balls between your index finger and thumb. Rotate them in a clockwise direction. Try not to hit them against each other. Repeat with the left hand. Once you have the first direction mastered, rotate them in a counterclockwise direction in your right hand. Repeat again with your left hand.


4. Sit naturally on a chair or couch, keeping your thighs parallel to the floor. Place a mat on the floor beneath you. Place the balls--one or both--under the arch of your right foot. Rotate your foot in a clockwise motion, then a counterclockwise motion. Keep the balls in motion. Repeat with the left foot.

Alternative Treatment For Gout

Gout is a form of arthritis caused by a buildup of uric acid in the blood. The body creates uric acid when it breaks down certain types of foods. Gout usually affects the joint of the big toe, but can cause swelling and pain in other joints as well. Prescription medications offer quick relief, but there also are several herbal approaches that may help soothe the symptoms of gout.


Celery (Apium graveolens)


Celery extracts may help eliminate uric acid from the body. Herbal botanist James Duke recommends taking two to four tablets of celery extract or eating four celery stalks per day to rid the body of uric acid and minimize and prevent attacks of gout.


Chiso (Perilla frutescens)


Chiso is a member of the mint family and is a popular herb in Eastern medicine. Chiso contains four elements that prevent the buildup of uric acid in the blood. Add a little Chiso to regular mint or other types of tea. Drink several cups per day.


Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra)


Like Chiso, licorice also contains elements that inhibit the buildup of uric acid. Because licorice contains less of these elements than Chiso, Duke suggests that using both herbs may work better and recommends mixing them together to make licorice-chiso tea.


Turmeric (Curcuma longa)








Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory agents similar to ibuprofen that can be helpful for the pain caused by gout. Try adding extra turmeric to your food, make turmeric tea, or take turmeric supplements to help combat pain and inflammation that accompany gout.


Other Suggestions


Eat cherries. Cherries also lower uric acid levels. Try eating 1/2 cup to 1 pound (about 70) of cherries per day. Taking a tablespoon of apple-cider vinegar can prevent attacks of gout. Bill Gottlieb, author or 'Alternative Cures,' suggests taking 50 milligrams of vitamin B6 per day to help keep tissues hydrated and discourage the buildup of uric acid crystals.


What To Avoid


Avoid foods that create uric acid such as organ meats like liver and kidney; sardines and anchovies; asparagus; mushrooms; any kind of beans; and all types of alcohol. Beware of diet fads, which often raise uric acid levels. Avoid aspirin and acetaminophen. Aspirin can inhibit the excretion of uric acid and acetaminophen does not have enough anti-inflammatory power to be much help with gout.

Heart Attack Warning Signs For Women

Women are just as likely as men to have a heart attack. However, many women aren't aware that there are signs that point to a heart attack besides chest pain and radiating pain down the left arm. In fact, according to the Women's Heart Foundation, about a third of women won't have any chest pain at all when having a heart attack.


Fatigue

Sweating

Murano Safety Issues

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave predominately good safety ratings for Nissan Murano vehicles in 2009 and 2010, and the redesigned 2009 Nissan Murano was an IIHS "Top Safety Pick" among mid-size SUVs. However, there have been multiple safety recalls associated with Muranos built between 2003 and 2009, including engine and electrical system problems.


Engine System Recalls


On May 14, 2009, Nissan recalled 362,891 2003-2007 Murano vehicles because the intake air ducts, which are connected to the intermediate resonator in the air intake system of the engine, could separate from the resonator with engine movement. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), this problem may cause the engine to stall, thereby increasing the risk of a crash. In an earlier November 2003 recall, Nissan recalled 630,000 vehicles, including 2002-2003 Muranos, due to a circuit board sensor defect which could cause the "service engine soon" warning light to come on, create a no start condition, cause reduced engine power, or cause the engine to stop running without warning.


Electrical System Recalls


In July 2005, Nissan recalled 125,466 Murano SUVs for a potentially faulty wire that could break inside the alternator, stop the battery from charging and possibly discharge the battery within a short time. This problem could cause the engine to go into a "fall safe" condition that limits vehicle speed. The engine will then stop running, which could cause a crash. In a separate electrical system recall in October 2008, Nissan recalled certain 2007-2009 Murano vehicles equipped with Continental Automotive Systems' occupant classification system control units. Units had a defect which could result in the passenger air bag being suppressed and thus providing inadequate protection in the event of a crash.








Tire Pressure Monitoring System Recall


On October 1, 2009, Nissan recalled certain 2008-2010 vehicles, including the Murano, because the material in the nut used to secure the sensor-transmitter of the tire pressure monitoring system may corrode or crack in areas with heavy concentrations of road salt. The nut could come out of the sensor-transmitter, and the tire could quickly lose air pressure. A flat tire or crash could result. This recall was issued to registered vehicle owners in Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Main, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Washington DC, West Virginia and Wisconsin, according to NHTSA.

Severe contractures may take up to a year to be resolved so that proper motion is restored. Range of motion exercise is very important in the prevention of contractures. In the nursing home environment, nursing staff must take the time to exercise the joints of residents unable to move themselves. For example, passive range of motion of the wrists may involve gently rotating the wrist joint clockwise and counterclockwise, or gently rotating the shoulder joint by holding onto and bracing or supporting the joint of the arm of the resident while helping the arm move in a circle. Passive range of motion exercise should be performed two to three times a day. Alert residents should be encouraged to engage in active range of motion exercise on a daily basis or be reminded to exercise their joints.

1. Make certain that endocarditis is, indeed, the problem. Your physician may suspect the disease because of a combination of the following symptoms: appetite loss, chest pains, chills, extreme fatigue, fever, muscle aches or joint pain, unusual sweating, and unexplained weight loss. However, these same symptoms can be attributed to hundreds of other infectious diseases as well. Sometimes, only a heart specialist can tell for certain that endocarditis is the problem. 7. Research the disease, its symptoms, potential problems, risk factors, and prognosis from as many different resources as you can find. Make yourself an expert in the disease in order to prevent future problems or disease reoccurence.

Magnetism In Crystals

Crystals form in many shapes, sizes, and colors.


Crystals are usually formed at depths beneath the Earth's crust where conditions such as temperature and pressure are favorable for their formation. The process of formation of crystals is known as crystallization, and crystalline rocks are formed from an aggregation of different crystals. Crystallization can occur naturally at certain depths below the Earth's crust or can be carried out artificially through various scientific experiments in a laboratory. Magnetism in crystals is usually achieved when such crystals form within a magnetic field in the Earth's crust. A crystallization process forms solid crystals that precipitate from a solution or from gaseous deposits.


The Crystallization Process


Any crystallization process is made up of two major phases; nucleation and crystal growth. In the nucleation process solute molecules are dispersed in a solvent (liquid phase) and start to gather into clusters. Stable clusters are formed under favorable natural conditions. The crystal growth process is the subsequent growth of these stable clusters to form crystals of different sizes. The main driving force of any crystallization process is super-saturation. Magnetism may occur in crystals formed in a magnetic field of the Earth's crust. Remanent magnetism is magnetism in rocks and can be acquired at the time crystals within the matrix of a crystalline rock form, retaining specific magnetic properties. Magnetism in crystals formed under natural conditions is termed "natural remanent magnetism."


Natural Remanent Magnetism


There are two major types of natural remanent magnetism: primary and secondary natural remanent magnetism. Natural remanent magnetism is a record of the Earth's magnetic field as it existed when a certain rock formed. Magnetic crystals in igneous rocks have specific magnetic properties. Geomagnetic fields and other geological processes at the time of formation play an important role in the magnetization of crystalline rocks.


Thermoremanent Magnetism


As the name implies, thermoremanent magnetism is a form of primary natural remanent magnetism that occurs mainly due to temperature conditions present at the time a rock formed. In crystalline rocks, thermoremanent magnetism is produced when rock crystals cool above the Curie temperature in the presence of a magnetic field. A small magnetic field at elevated temperatures can thus impact on ferromagnetic crystal grains as they cool to produce a remanent magnetism or remanence. This remanence over time becomes stable and, as such, crystals of a rock can be resistant to certain magnetic fields.


Chemical Remanent Magnetism








This occurs as a result of chemical changes that form crystals of ferromagnetic rocks at a certain temperature in a magnetizing field. Chemical reactions involving ferromagnetic rocks, which can in turn produce crystals that possess magnetic properties, including alteration of preexisting minerals to form a ferromagnetic mineral and precipitation of ferromagnetic minerals from a solution.


Viscous Remanent Magnetism


This is a secondary remanent magnetism, which is gradually acquired when crystalline rocks are exposed to weak magnetic fields. This usually results from the action of a geomagnetic field long after such crystalline rocks have been formed, producing a weak magnetism in crystals of such a rock. Chemical remanent magnetism may displace original magnetism of the crystals of an igneous rock after original formation.

Strengths Of Social Cognitive Theory







Psychologist Albert Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory posits a dynamic interrelationship between an individual's personality, environment and behavior. This relationship is known as reciprocal determinism and says that people are both products and producers of their environment. Rather, Social Cognitive Theory paves a reasonable common ground, focusing instead on the interrelationship of these factors.


Applicable Concepts


Concepts such as self-efficacy, observational learning and reciprocal determinism are easily applicable to real-world implementation. For instance, if a person is counseling people on their antisocial behavior patterns, the concept of self-efficacy provides a means for them to reflect on themselves and self-regulate the negative aspects of their behavior.


Easily Universalized


Because Social Cognitive Theory emphasizes the role that observation and environments have in learned behavior, it easily allows for cross-cultural analysis. It makes no judgments about morality or values but instead seeks to understand how certain moral codes, behaviors and values are learned and provide a framework for understanding how certain kinds of behavior may be more acceptable in certain situations or cultures than others.

Social Cognitive Theory has implications for fields spanning across the social sciences and mental health services. It can be applied in academic fields such as anthropology, sociology and psychology. In addition, the theory provides key insights for those working in fields such as clinical psychology, social work or occupational therapy.

Social Cognitive Theory grew out of Social Learning Theory in 1962, which relied heavily on behaviorist models of positive or negative reinforcement to explain learning patterns.
